Northern BC Fishing Packages
Oak Bay Marine Group’s Northern Resorts bring incredible fishing, remote locations and unique accommodation together into one great vacation. Four and five day all-inclusive BC fishing packages bring guests to some of the most exciting and respected fisheries in the world.
Accommodation
At Langara Island at the northern tip of the Queen Charlotte Islands, the MV Charlotte Princess is a floating fishing oasis. This 135’ luxury vessel has been beautifully refurbished to accommodate 30 guests in double staterooms. Sharing an anchorage with the MV Charlotte Princess is the MV Marabell, a 136’ classic minesweeper converted to a floating resort, and accommodating 26 guests in single and double staterooms.
Along the west coast of the Queen Charlotte Islands is the MV Salmon Seeker – 180’ of fishing-hunting fury. The MV Salmon Seeker is the only resort in this ruggedly beautiful area, and offers guided salmon and halibut fishing for up to ten hours each day.
King Salmon Resort is our land-based Northern Resort, nestled in the wilderness along British Columbia’s Central Coast. Located in the heart of Rivers Inlet, guests fish for salmon weighing 40, 50, 60 lbs and beyond.
World-class Sportfishing
Anglers come to our Northern Resorts for one reason alone – to experience the pinnacle of west coast sportfishing. Guests fish to their hearts content from custom boats complete with high-end fishing gear. Salmon and halibut are abundant throughout the Queen Charlotte Islands, while the mighty Chinook (or King) salmon is the target of choice along the Central Coast. Membership in our Masterfisherman’s Club is the ultimate prize for an angler, only available to those catching a Chinook over 50 lbs, a Coho over 20 lbs, or a halibut over 100 lbs.
Oak Bay Marine Group’s Fishmasters are veteran anglers who are always on the water to support guests of all skill levels. They know the local waters like the back of their hands and share the secrets of bait balls, cut plug herring and tidal flats with each guest. At the MV Salmon Seeker at Kano Inlet, each pair of guests is assigned an expert guide who knows and loves this fishery.
Food & Beverage
A remote fishing location doesn’t mean fish camp food. Every Northern Resorts BC fishing package comes complete with gourmet meals and fine wines sure to please the most discerning palette. Meal times are based around the prime fishing tides, so anglers never need to worry about missing the bite or missing out on dinner. Hearty boxed lunches, snacks and hot drinks are provided while on the water, and guests can return to the ship for a hot meal during the day. At every resort, the kitchen is always open.
Transportation
Each trip and BC fishing package to our Northern Resorts begins and ends in Vancouver, British Columbia. All airfare and transfers to and from the resort are included in each package. Due to early departure times and potential delays in return, we recommend guests take advantage of our preferred hotel partners in Vancouver for pre- and post-trip stays.
