It happens every year from late July through early September - anglers converge on Campbell River to test their skill, experience and luck in the world famous tyee pools. The tradition of tyee fishing from row boats forms the very heart of Painter's Lodge where guests will find a collection of photographs, trophies and memorabilia that both honours the Tyee Club legends and invites all to accept the challenge. Membership in the prestigious Tyee Club is much sought after but entry can only be gained by catching a Tyee - a 30+ lb Chinook salmon.
