The hogs are here

There’s probably just one reason why most of you read our Rivers Inlet fishing reports. You want to know “where are the hogs?” Well… the hogs are here!

We decided it was time to fish good ol’ Marker 16, Kilbella Point, Whale rock and the Slide.

It all started about 9am. “T-Rev! I think I got one!”

Well it was a beauty 44 lb Spring and then a 38 pounder from the same boat! Good one Jan and Jackie Bowman. Then a few more lost at the boat, too!

Then it was Alan Shmidts’ turn with a stellar 51 lb. Chinook taken from Whale Rock.

Finally Jerry Mannella took his turn with a beauty 40 lb. Spring to top off the day.

All these Chinook were caught at 16 to 22 pulls and there were many more lost at the boat, So keep a close eye on the rod and keeps your lines tight. We hope to see you all soon for your chance at one of these monsters!
