April Point is busy this morning with departing guests after last night’s wedding. An intimate reception of 40 was well received by everyone. Congratulations Allan & Emily, best of luck to the both of you from all the crew at April Point Resort & Spa.

We’ve had a small pod of Harbour porpoise hanging out in the tide line just off the Point all morning, most likely feeding on the small fish being pushed around in the current or just playing. They aren’t very photogenic.

Fishing has been good, what has come in are all great sizes. Averaging about 17 lbs. it’s been a great season. There was a giant bait ball in-between two of the dock legs which is a great indication that there are fish out there, because where there’s bait there’s fish. In today’s case there was seagulls.

The docks fishing rod has doubled in inventory this week which is great because children and adults alike love fishing off the dock. The bicycles have also been refurbished this week and are in mint condition for your big adventure on Beautiful Quadra Island!
