The weather today started with overcast skies and smooth sea. This is welcome weather, as it protects our guests from the heat of the day.
A number of our guests have not been to the Salmon Seeker before. The impression one gets from them is total admiration to this beautiful area with quality fish and breath-taking scenery and fantastic customer service. I mention this to invite those who have never experienced fishing with us before, to act fast before all the vacant slots in the coming trips are full.
The fishing is just awesome. We just had one of our guests, Shannon Moench, catch a huge 235 lb. halibut this morning. Everybody is trying to avoid Coho as they are everywhere and every time the bait goes down they grab it fast. As I always say this is a prime fishing area. So, come and try it for yourselves.
The total catch of the day included 41 Chinook and 38 Coho.
The following were awarded Captain’s Club status with a pin:
- Marty Empringham of AB (50 lbs. Halibut)
- Kevin Salvatori of BC (30 lbs. Chinook)
- Terry Wells of ON (73 lbs. Halibut)
- Marty Empringham of AB (50 lbs. Halibut)
- Ron O’Dwyer of BC (34 lbs. & 30 lbs Chinook)
- Jim Mikolsh of BC (30 lbs. Chinook & 15 lbs. Coho)
