Reel Reports

Queen Charlottes Fishing Update

MV Salmon Seeker - August 4, 2007

I was talking with Mike Sokoloski, a good friend of Oak Bay Marine Group and a dear friend of mine, and he mentioned that my Reel Reports are better than someone else’s. That is not true—the magnificent scenery and spectacular fishing simply makes them easy to write.

Now to the weather...this ridge of high pressure is still there and we've been enjoying beautiful sunshine with a bit of wind.

Georgian Gaylon Jones brought in today’s top Chinook, a nice bright 35 pounder. This was just one of over two dozen beautiful Chinook brought in, not to mention 24 shiny Coho!
