The good weather promised this weekend showed up early and we had sunny skies and flat calm seas all day. The result was an unforgettable day on the water for the guests. Fish were on the hook within five minutes of the line hitting the water, double-headers were common and the fish just seemed to be everywhere! There’s lots of fight in the fish these days, adding greatly to the excitement for those who have never had a 30 pound salmon or a 50 pound halibut on the line before.
The fish board says it all with three new Masterfishermen, and six Captain’s Club members. Marj Leslie of BC hauled in a 36 pound Chinook and topped it off with a 121 pound halibut!
Conditions are set fair with the wind in the northwest light and variable so we are expecting to-morrow to be another great day.
