Trip # 13 commenced with a couple of Masterfisherman class halibut. 134 and 133 were the weights for fishing partners David Kremser and Michael Bystrom. Two nice 44 lb. Chinook followed for Warren Watson and Oleh Mycyk and these look like the joint trip trophy winners. 14 new Captains club members were inducted this trip – evenly split between over 30 lb. Chinook and over 50 lb halibut. A 16lb. Coho was also included in this group and I am sure we will have a few 20 pounders of this species landed before the end of the season. Next trip’s weather looks good – moderate winds and a bit of rain just to add to the Haida Gwaii ambiance!
