Lots of Coho & Chinook

MV Charlotte Princess - August 4, 2011

What a day it's been! Waking up at the crack of dawn, we headed to the airport to catch our flights to the MV Charlotte Princess and begin our fishing adventure. The float plane flight from Masset to the resort along the coastline was spectacular .

Once at the ship we were greeted with a tasty buffet before hitting the water for an afternoon of salmon fishing. The weather couldn't have been better with a little cloud cover, no rain and a gentle southerly breeze.

Martin Paish reeled in a 14lb Chinook, Robert Bernard a 20lb Chinook and Louis Meunier netted a nice  23lb. Chinook at Divrell Bay earning him the catch of the day. A dozen Coho's hit the decks as well with Bob Wright catching largest at 12lbs.

With northwesterly winds forecasted over the next two days, some of the best places to fish are going to be Cohoe and Andrews Point.
