The spectacular fishing that we have enjoyed for the last ten days has tailed off a bit this week, although a 44 pounder won the trip trophy on Monday . The current group of guests are enjoying beautiful sunny weather and still brought home five nice Tyee (Chinook over 30 lbs.) yesterday as well as several in the 20s and lots of Coho topping out at 15 lbs.
Strong northwest winds have not allowed much halibut fishing yet, but the next two days should provide some more opportunities. Fishing is still great by any standards other than Kano Inlet’s, but last week spoiled us I’m afraid so we are back to using “great” as the working description. More “spectacular” is just around the corner, however!
