Today another record was set when Fred Moore landed an awesome 55 lb. Chinook. This follows hot on the heels of Roland Jones’s 239 halibut. Two records in two days, plus 8 Master Fisherman and 18 Captain’s Club recipients in this trip alone. Wow.

When something great such as this happens it attracts more guests back to our great resort. Fred Moore and his fishing partner Robert Wiegeile said that they will be back, for sure, next year. I am mentioning this to entice those who have not experienced, to come and try it themselves. I am sure they will not be disappointed.

Other notable catches included Robert Labbe’s 140 lb. halibut, Barry Holtman’s 197 pounder, and Dianne Mouncey’s 115 lb. hali.

New to the Captain’s club are Mark Monette (34 lb. Chinook), Trevor Chan (34 lb. Chinook) and Eugene Patiluk (50 lb. halibut).
