Florida Mike and two new masterfishermen
MV Salmon Seeker - July 25, 2007
MV Salmon Seeker guests have enjoyed some great fishing over the past two days, including two new Masterfisherman catches.
Mike Spoutz of Florida got the top salmon prize two days running with both 31 lb. and 32 lb. Chinooks.
On the 24th, Paul Campbell of Virginia brought in an impressive 105 lb. halibut and Ashton Williams of Maryland nabbed a massive 256 lb. halibut.
The weather this year all over the Pacific North West was unpredictable. Even with the change in weather that we had one can observe different condition from one hour to the next.
For example this morning we had South East winds of four knots, which was a nice start for the day, then it went up to seven and three feet waves . Later it went down again ending with the most picturesque sky one can dream of. The eagles were there but we missed our sea lions and whales that did not show up today.
