Captain MacKinnon's Report

MV Salmon Seeker - July 2, 2004

Heavy rain yesterday and moderate south east winds brought many guests back to the ship early. One intrepid angler, however, was rewarded for his tenacity with a beautiful 44 lb Chinook, and top catch trophy for this trip.

Once again, most salmon are in the mid twenties and low thirties and the action has been a bit sporadic. Coho appear to be numerous, particularly about a mile or so offshore, and they are getting into the 12 lb range now.

Forecast is for light winds over the next few days.
