Calm seas and great fishing

MV Salmon Seeker - June 19, 2008

Calm seas and great fishing... that’s what Kano Inlet has been all about for the guests of MV Salmon Seeker Trip 6.

We've seen five halibut over 100 lbs. in the last three days, with Dan Wilson’s 140 being the largest, and three Chinook over 30 lbs. With still a couple of days to go this looks like being the trip of the season so far. Lots of whale shows out on the fishing grounds and a nice display right here in our anchorage when two adult and two baby Orcas circled the ship for a while.

Another weather system is moving in tomorrow but hopefully it will pass through quickly and allow some calm sunny days for our next group.
