Brian Zimmer, 46 lbs.

MV Salmon Seeker - June 22, 2010

Trip five started with a batch of Chinook in the mid-twenties.  Strong southerly winds have kept most of our boats around Kelp Bay but, as is frequently the case, the Kelp Bay beat produced the largest Chinook of the season with a 46 pounder landed by Brian Zimmer. Brian was ably coached by his dad, long time Seeker visitor David Zimmer.

Not much bottom fishing going on so far but tomorrow promises some improvement in the weather and Thursday looks even better so I’m sure there will be some large halibut coming in. As far as the trophy for the largest salmon is concerned however, I think I hear the fat lady singing!
