Blue skies, sunshine and great fishing are the order of the day at the Salmon Seeker as July draws to a close. All this and some of the most spectacular scenery on the BC Coast is what keeps our regular guests returning. Some of them for their second trip of the season!. One of them is our long time returnee Frank Kinnaird who came home yesterday with a nice 106 lb halibut in addition to his limit of Chinook. Another guest, Mike Robinson, snuck into the Masterfisherman’s Club with a halibut tipping the scales at an even 100 lbs.
Salmon action has been steady with mid twenties variety Chinook and Coho steadily increasing in weight and in numbers. A 38 pounder is the leading contender for the larget fish of the trip and as seems to be the case with the big ones, it was caught well inside Kano Inlet at Black Rock.
Everything indicates that this great weather should prevail through the weekend and our expectation is that the fishing will do the same.
