The heat wave that's hit Vancouver Island has sparked some excellent fishing at Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort. Fish averaging 13-18 lbs. are the norm with a fair number over 20 lbs. An increasing number of guests are returning with smiles on their faces and salmon in the fish boxes. Action in good and with this beautiful weather and calm seas, it's a great time to be on the water.
