The change of weather in the Queen Charlotte area is rapid. In early morning the wind was blowing 6 kts. from the south, then it picked up slightly this afternoon to 15 to 20 kts. Still we had about 3 to 6 feet waves with drizzle and some fog patches. This is considered a good fishing weather.
Our present group of guests is the Absolute Software group, and they have arranged a fishing derby between themselves, that is why one will notice that the interest is concentrated in specific species of fish.
Their efforts netted them 39 Chinook, 18 Coho and five halis today. Brian Youngblood of Texas nabbed a 103 lb. halibut, earning himself Masterfisherman status.
Jose Miller (WV) grabbed a 40 pound Chinook, and David Johnson landed a 57 lb. halibut, earning both a space in the Captain's Club.
