Congratulations to Roy Castelsky who managed to catch a 70 lb Chinook earlier today in Explorer Bay from the MV Charlotte Princess. That's the second gigantic trophy salmon nabbed at the MV Charlotte Princess. Although there were no fireworks to celebrate, fishing at Langara Island is certainly on fire. Big Kings are hitting the dock at a steady pace and anglers are getting into early Coho in the area up to 14 lbs There's been an explosion of Ling cod and plenty of chicken halibut on the east side of the island. Pretty spectacular fishing to begin the month of July!
