I was lucky enough to travel to the MV Salmon Seeker on July 8th and I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone at the ship. The entire experience was unbelievable, starting with helicopter ride from Sandspit to the vessel which gave me the most incredible view of the Haida Gwaii. As soon as we arrived at the ship, we had some lunch and off we went for our first fishing excursion.
During our second day, I barely had time to eat my lunch as there was a fish on every time my line was set. That same morning I played about 25 Chinook before noon! To give our arms a rest, we decided to anchor to do some halibut fishing and, lo and behold, 5 minutes after we were all set up I was reeling in my 43 lb, halibut. The weather was calm and sunny for the majority of the trip and it didn’t rain once.
Thanks again to my awesome guide Gord and all the inside crew at the MV Salmon Seeker for making my trip so memorable. I will definitely come again!
