Discovering Your Family History — $189
This is an opportunity to discover techniques to trace your family history. The internet has made it easier than ever for people to gather information about their family histories. However, it is still important to use proper research techniques, to understand the records being consulted, and to flesh out the raw details of a family tree with information about the lives of ancestors.
Dave Obee leads this three-day course, which stresses the need for research in local history and social history as well as family history, and will help participants understand how to use a wide variety of resources and plan further work.
Yoga is an amazingly powerful way to support ourselves as women, helping calm our minds, strengthen our bodies, clarify focus in life, deepen self-acceptance and balance our hormonal cycles. If you are a modern woman reading this, you will already know that we need to take to time to slow down, replenish our energy, and reconnect with our deepest truths—and we really need to take care of our bodies.
This workshop will be an opportunity to do just that. We will practice relaxation, breathing, yoga asana (postures) vinyasa (flowing, sequences of posture) and bhavana (setting intentions).
September 20 – 22

Learn to identify the wildflowers, fruits, ferns and trees and learn about ecology and ethnobotany: how plants were used by First Nations people.
…and then, for something completely different…a Geohunt – a GPS based scavenger hunt on Painter’s Lodge property. Training and GPS-receivers provided.
