Bridget – Front desk manager
April Point Resort & Spa, Quadra Island
I am starting my fourth season with the Oak Bay Marine Group as the Front Desk Manager at April Point Resort and Spa on Quadra Island.
My job includes organizing and running the front desk, activities desk, gift shop and dock which all work very closely together. My ultimate goal is to ensure that every guest that arrives at April Point has the best time possible whether they are just here to relax or to fish and explore. Therefore the job starts long before the guests arrive – making sure their rooms are ready, their fishing tides are booked and their dining room and spa reservations are made.
I enjoy my job for a variety of reasons. I start every day with a boat ride across Discovery Passage where I inevitably see some wild life be it whales, seals or eagles. With Oak Bay Marine Group’s “Yes I Can” philosophy it makes every day a positive experience as you look for ways to make things happen for both the staff and guests. Every day brings new challenges and rewards. The crew at April Point Resort is a diverse group of people, fun to work with and great team players.
I enjoy meeting new people, both crew and guests and fulfilling their expectations of a great vacation or of a great place to work.
