Position:                    Marina Attendant/Cashier           
 
Reports to:                Manager
 
Job Description:       Supports the Manager in day-to-day operations of the Marina including contracted and guest moorage, retail inventory and merchandising, maintenance of physical plant and grounds, fuel service, and janitorial duties.
Responsibilities:     
Ÿ     Assist Manager in control of retail aspects of the operation including sales, merchandising and inventory counts
Ÿ     Assist Manager in controlling moorage for contracted and guest clients, i.e.: berth assignment, lease agreement formulation, revenue collection
Ÿ     Ensure guest services, e.g. power, water, lighting, washroom, shower, laundry facilities and refuse collection are organized, clean and in good working order
Ÿ     Assist contracted clients and guests whenever possible displaying a pro-active, positive and energetic interaction based on the “YES I CAN” attitude
Ÿ     Serves marine fuel and lubricants.
Ÿ     Regular property checks for cleanliness and guest safety
Ÿ     Addresses questions from guests.
Ÿ     Cleans facilities and products on a daily basis
Ÿ     Restocks shelves and displays as needed
Ÿ     Maintains a high level of professionalism at all times.
Ÿ     Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
Ÿ     Acts in accordance to OBMG policies and procedures at all times.
 
Working Conditions
           
Ÿ     Marina crew is directly involved with the general public. The ability to deal with many problems, under different circumstances is necessary. Usually in an orderly, routine workplace, the need to be able to adapt to different conditions is necessary.  
Ÿ     Part time position with a flexible work schedule due to fluctuations in hours of operation
Ÿ     Is paid by- weekly
Ÿ     Outdoor work is required
 
Ÿ     Skills       
Ÿ     Working knowledge of “Word”, “Access”, and “Excel”.
Ÿ     Guest service skills
Ÿ     Maintain a “Yes I Can” attitude
Ÿ     Grade 12 or equivalent
Ÿ     Knowledge of boats and boating
Ÿ     Emergency First Aid and C.P.R.
