Job Description:
Reporting to the Charters Manager/ Skipper, the deckhand is responsible for assisting with the safe operation of our Charter boats and ensuring that all crew and guests have been notified of our safety procedures plus our general policies and procedures, customer and crew relations, cleanliness standards and vessel operating procedures. The Deckhand is a key support person to the Skipper in achieving the goals and consistent quality operation of our Charter service for the resorts on a day to day basis. The Deckhand is a key member of our team, acting as both a leader and a team player, the Deckhand must work closely with the Skipper, Charters Manager, and Operations Manager to achieve objectives in the areas of operations, people, product, environment and controls. Must be a patient, organized and high energy, hands on individual with common sense approach. Must possess a strong understanding of mechanics and marine environments, a strong commitment to exceeding guests expectations and excellent communication skills are mandatory for this position.
