Painters at Painter’s
Victoria, BC. The 15th Annual Painters at Painter’s celebration of art is scheduled for May 22-24, 2009 at Painter’s Lodge, Campbell River, B.C.
During the weekend, thousands of art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to brush with over 30 prominent B.C. artists. For many it is a reunion. For others, it’s their first time. For all, it is a weekend that celebrates a stunning variety of artistic talent. “This is the most exhilarating event an artist could hope for”, says Order of British Columbia recipient, Arthur Vickers. “Painters at Painter’s is good for the soul. It inspires, excites and encourages. A truly original concept and the only one of its kind in the world.”
Artists in residence will be involved in demonstrations, presentations, panel discussions and practicing their craft on the grounds of the sprawling, beautifully landscaped resort. Over 90 pieces of original artwork will be on display – one of the most impressive collections of artistic talent to be found under one roof anywhere in Canada.
Created in 1994, Painters at Painter’s began as a vision held by Bob Wright, President and CEO of Oak Bay Marine Group. “My dream was to create an event where B.C.’s finest artists could share their talent with other artists, art lovers and friends. It gives me great joy to see that this event has blossomed into a highly regarded artistic affair.”
